The complete set of Roots blower equipment includes Roots blower (including air end, motor, belt drive/direct drive, base), inlet silencer, outlet silencer, check valve, flexible joints, etc.

1.1 Technical description

(1) general description

Roots blower is the latest product, which has proven to be reliable in operation and excellent in performance; easy to operate and maintain; low energy consumption, long operating life, and equipment design life of more than 15 years.

(2) Roots blower air end

1.Case, bearing housing, oil tank, gear box.These components are cast from high-strength gray cast iron and is artificially aged. The tensile strength of the casing shall not be less than 200MPa; each connection surface shall be mechanically processed to ensure good sealing performance and prevent air leakage

2. rotor（impeller）

The blower is a high-speed, high-efficiency, low-noise three-lobe rotor, which avoids contact between the rotors due to slight axial displacement, and can ensure a small spiral clearance to improve efficiency

3. Gear

Using high-precision synchronous gears, gear accuracy reaches level 5. The gear is made of 20CrMnTi, with a service life of more than 50,000 hours

4. Bearing

The gears are made of 20CrMnTi, with a service life of more than 50,000 hours. In order to adapt to continuous 24 hours of heavy load operation, bearing lubrication is oil lubrication and grease lubrication

5.Shaft

The driving shaft and driven shaft of the blower are made of 40Cr steel. Ensure the operating strength of the whole machine, extend the service life of the bearing and the whole machine

3 Air inlet filter silencer

The intake filter and the intake silencer are designed and manufactured as a module, with a compact structure.The space is small, and the filter should be designed with enough filtering area to reduce pressure drop. The intake silencer ensures that its silencer material will not fall off due to aging and damage other processing equipment and facilities.

4 Motor

Roots blower motor is a three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motor, suitable for 380V/3Ph/50Hz, and the allowable voltage deviation range is ±10%. Protection class IP55,

insulation class F

The output power of the motor is at least 1.1 times greater than the shaft power of the blower, and it is guaranteed that when the blower is working at any point on the flow- pressure curve, it can output enough torque to make sure run normally without overload.

7 flexible joint

The outlet of each blower is equipped with a flexible joint, which can reduce the pipeline stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction and the pipeline vibration caused by the compressor. The flexible joint can withstand the pressure of all operating conditions and the temperature of 0～200℃

8 discharge silencer

The discharge silencer is a compact design, with small pressure drop and small size. The material of silencer is steel. Stainless steel available.

9 Check valve

In order to prevent the system from backflow of high-pressure gas when the system is shut down, a check valve is needed, and each blower outlet must be equipped with a reliable, low-pressure resistance one-way valve

10 Seal type

Roots blower adopts piston ring seal and frame seal (UKS) to ensure the air tightness and oil seal performance of the blower

11 acoustic enclosure(optional)

The acoustic enclosure is made of steel plate, lined with fireproof foam and sound-absorbing material, and the air inlet and exhaust ducts are lined with sound-absorbing material
