Shutdown Procedures For Centrifugal Fans

1. Emergency shutdown: During the trial run of the unit, if any of the following situations occur, it should be immediately stopped immediately. The operation of emergency stop is to press the stop button of the main motor, and then perform the after-treatment after the stop.

a. The centrifugal fan suddenly has strong vibration and has exceeded the trip value.

b. There are scratches or abnormal friction sounds inside the body.

c. Smoke appears in any bearing or seal, or the temperature of a certain bearing rises sharply to an alarm value.

d. When the oil pressure is lower than the alarm value and cannot return to normal.

e. The liquid level in the fuel tank is low and there is a suction phenomenon.

f. The value of the axis displacement has continued to increase significantly, when it reaches the alarm value.

2. Normal shutdown: The normal shutdown of the unit is performed according to the following procedure.

a. Gradually open the vent valve (or outlet bypass valve) and gradually close the exhaust valve.

b. Gradually close the small intake throttle to 20-25 °.

c. Press the stop button and pay attention to any abnormalities during the shutdown process.

d. After the unit is stopped for 5-10 minutes, or the bearing temperature drops below 45 ° C, the oil supply can be stopped. For units with floating ring seals, the sealed oil pump must continue to supply oil until the body temperature is below 80 ° C.

After the unit is stopped, the rotor should be rotated 180 ° regularly within 2 to 4 hours.
