Development History Of Centrifugal Fans

Nov 17, 2019Leave a message

In 1862, British Guerbel invented the centrifugal fan. Its impeller and casing are concentric, and the casing is made of brick. The wooden impeller uses backward straight blades, which has an efficiency of only about 40%. It is mainly used for mine ventilation.

In 1880, people designed volute casings for exhaust air supply in mines and centrifugal fans with backward curved blades. The structure was relatively complete.

In 1892, a cross-flow fan was developed in France. In 1898, the Irish designed a sirocco centrifugal fan with forward blades and it was widely used in various countries. In the 19th century, axial flow fans were used in mine ventilation and metallurgy industry. However, the pressure is only 100-300 Pa, and the efficiency is only 15-25%. It has not developed rapidly until the 1940s.

In 1935, Germany first adopted axial-flow isobaric fans for boiler ventilation and induced air; in 1948, Denmark made axial fans with adjustable moving blades during operation; rotary axial fans, radial acceleration axial fans, diagonal fans, and Cross flow fan; In 2002, China's explosion-proof centrifugal fans were widely used in chemical, petroleum, machinery and other fields. Changlindong explosion-proof centrifugal fans have also been developed. Centrifugal fans are auxiliary production equipment commonly used in stone processing enterprises. They are mainly used in ventilation and dust removal devices. For example, cyclones and bag dusters in the stone cutting and grinding processes need to use centrifugal fans to remove dust from the production site to ensure production. The environment is clean and protects the physical and mental health of producers. Fan is a kind of equipment with high energy consumption. The proportion of power resources consumed by fans in stone processing is relatively large. With the current shortage of energy in China and the popularization and application of high-yield and efficient working surfaces, energy saving and consumption reduction have become stone production. The issues that enterprises are generally concerned about are that many stone manufacturing companies take reducing power consumption of fans as an important task at present. In addition to reducing the power consumption of the fan, in addition to improving the efficiency of the fan itself, it is most important to reasonably select the adjustment method of the fan, because the load of stone production varies with the needs of the process, most of them

Fans need to adjust the flow frequently according to the load of the host. At present, the energy-saving adjustment methods of fans in stone processing enterprises are relatively old, and generally use throttling adjustment. When throttling adjustment is used, the flow of the fan is mainly adjusted by regulating valves or throttling baffles. The throttling flow of the fan is large, even at more than 50% at low load. Due to the throttling loss and deviation from the high-efficiency zone operation, The energy waste is very serious. And if the speed of the fan is adjusted, the throttling loss can be cancelled, and the fan can always be operated in the high-efficiency zone, so the power can be greatly saved. It can be said that adjusting the speed of the fan to run the fan is an effective way to save energy and reflects the new trend of the current building material industry production.
